Every year starts with some goals to be achieved declared by leaders of an industry or sector in the very twelve months and in the first month of the current year the experts predicted five top trends of cargo industry.

To sustain their success and develop it further they want to secure the phase of delivery to their customers by building their own capacities

The giants evolved over the years in e-commerce are now much focused on the development of either their own air freight hubs or establish e-hubs through logistics subsidiary to serve their air cargo operations. To sustain their success and develop it further they want to secure the phase of delivery to their customers by building their own capacities.

It has been important for these companies sending millions of parcels big or small to all over the world and the number of these are growing. According to the figures available every year the total value of online purchase has been breaking records and this encourages the big e-commerce players to invest in air cargo arrangements too.

It also indicates that the lesser business will be available to the companies already in the business as the e-commerce sector will no more use their services.

New air freight companies are coming forward

The second trend expected in this year is the growth of the Southeast Asian cargo sector especially cargo to Pakistan will continue due to the production of an array of items which supplied from there to the rest of the world.

New air freight companies are coming forward and establishing their foothold in the region and the neighbouring countries are also enhancing their connectivity to share the cargo business. But the question of building the capacity of infrastructure to cater to the growing air cargo needs is very much there and the ASEAN countries have to be conscious of it.

IATA has predicted the growth for the next year too

The demand of the pharmaceutical industry is also on the rise and to coop with its growth of cool chain technology is quite obvious. So this trend of increase in transportation of medicines will continue in the current year as well.

The new technology developed last year will likely to be used this year as the operators have increased their capacity of storage and improved certification. IATA has predicted the growth for the next year too so investment in this sector of air cargo will further increase.

The major share of the market is of Europe and North America but the demand is on the rise in Asia too so the cold chain logistics spending is going to expand in this continent as well as in North America.

It also shows the preparedness of the industry for all the uncertainty

Due to uncertainty on Britain leaving Europe the expectations of the volatility of the cargo sector was crushed through arrangements made by the authorities. It also shows the preparedness of the industry for all the uncertainty prevailing at the moment.

But the overall performance of this sector in the United Kingdom is showing growth and in coming years there would be no change in this trend. Even more facilities are demanded to cater to the increase in demand for air cargo from the exporters.
