Royal Cargo is a Filipino transport and logistics firm which has been hired to deliver a cargo in Misamis Oriental in the Northern Mindanao region of the Philippines consisting of equipment for the coal-fired Balingasag Power Plant. Large cargo ships sail day and night, throughout the year to deliver sea cargo to Pakistan, America, Britain, and other countries around the globe.

This ship has also done the same thing, it delivered this consignment weighing over 700 tonnes. The largest part that it has delivered measures 59.6 meters in height, 18.5 meters in width, 22.5 meters in length and weighs alone 565 tonnes.

This cargo ship loaded this cargo from Zhangjiang in the Pudong district of Shanghai, China and unloaded it safely at the Balingasag quay.

This cumbersome cargo required some special arrangements to be made before unloading, so the project team from Royal Cargo had to install some temporary structures – that they already provided there at the pier – and do special stevedoring works. In this process, the steel shoring was cut and 9mm thick bracing was welded onto the two units. A barge crane was then used to unload the cargo to the port.

The Royal Cargo has been given the responsibility to take care all the processes of transportation, rigging and installation of the components that include 120 tonne generators, 165 tonne steam turbines, and the ancillary equipment for the plant onto their foundations at the nearby Cagayan de Oro port. On its completion, the Balingasag Power Plant will be used to supply 165 megawatts of electrical output to the northern Mindanao and Cagayan de Oro grid.
