The vessel that has made Port at Liverpool weights 81,000 tonne

What is it?

It is a gigantic cargo ship that has been designed by the Atlantic Star. This colossal multi-purpose cargo ship has made port at the Seaforth and ever since has been turning heads of the spectators. It was built and designed in such a way that carrying massive cargo, trucks, cars and containers filled with all kind of items – from tiny like watches to medium like motorcycles – would be easy. Thanks to the size and cargo carrying capacity of this vessel, delivering sea cargo to Pakistan, UK, US, Canada and other countries around the globe will be cost effective.

How big is this ship?

It is a mammoth cargo vessel and one of the world’s largest and one of its kind RoRo cargo ship. It is owned by Atlantic Containers Limited (ACL) and weighs 81,000 tonnes. In other words, it is bigger than two football fields. On Monday morning at 5am when it arrived at the Port of Liverpool, a huge crowd was already there to witness the marvel. She will be making a really quick stop over there, so if anyone wishes to behold this masterpiece, be hurry.

What’s on board?

The best thing about the design of this magnificent cargo ship is that there had been no significant change made to the dimensions of the ship to increase its capacity. It’s just the innovation in design on which the Atlantic Star boasts now.

For security reasons, the cargo details of the massive ship have not been disclosed to the public. Only the people from customs or the master of the cargo ship will ever know the contents of the container. As mentioned earlier that it is designed to hold cars, trucks, motorcycles, and other valuable items, so it is assumed that these containers will be holding all or any of these items.
